South Ogden Days 2018
 Something Old, Something New, Something Red, White and Blue

On behalf of the Mayor and Council and all city staff we want to thank South Ogden residents and our local sponsors for their overwhelming support of South Ogden Days 2018.  Here are some highlights from this year’s festival:
  • 108 golfers participated in the Mt. Ogden Golf Course Tournament sponsored by Wasatch Peaks Credit Union, Republic Services, Texas Roadhouse and 13 hole sponsors!
  • 98 vendors provided delicious food, cool treats, games and various arts and crafts.
  • 19 talented locals from musicians to dancing dinosaurs competed in our South Ogden’s Got Talent competition sponsored by Pobanz Orthodontics. 
  • 17 Bands competed in our Imagine Music sponsored Battle of the Bands competition to open for headliner Confederate Railroad. 
  • 84 runners participated in the Sunset Glow Run sponsored by Kubex Fitness and Intermountain Live Well.  Kudos to the kiddos who ran the whole 5K!  Special thanks to Locally Twisted for the glowing balloon arch finish line and balloon glow bracelets. 
  • Mountain View Health Services sponsored the fantastic movie in the park and free popcorn served by the Mayor and Council. 
  • 48 parade entries followed grand marshal Ralph Howard a local veteran and war hero.
  • 25 teams participated in South Ogden’s first pickleball tournament sponsored by the Ogden Pickleball Association and Wal-Mart. 
  • 21 teams got dirty for a good cause at the Friday corporate and Saturday friends and family mud volleyball tournament sponsored by the Ogden Athletic Club, Dingman Professional Printing and Jessen Oral Surgery.  Together with the money raised by the Mayor and Council at the dunk tank and generous donations from the public, we raised $10,000 to purchase a new K-9 for South Ogden’s Police Department!
  • Young Subaru, Young Mazda and RAMP sponsored the Confederate Railroad Concert and Fireworks Show, a patriotic finale to the festival’s red white and blue theme!  Special thanks also to Texas Roadhouse, Macey’s and Sam's Club for donating the delicious VIP tent food. 
South Ogden Days 2018 was a success thanks to staff, volunteers and local businesses that sponsored events, donated food, and placed ads in the magazine.  Check out the great festival photos on the event pages and a special thanks to our event photographer Stephen Smith. 

If you didn’t get a super soft South Ogden Days t-shirt at the festival you can still purchase one for $5 at South Ogden’s Rec Center 560 39th St.  Special thanks to Dingman Printing and Ogden Litho for the design and discounted shirts!
